Mission Summary:

This is an exciting and pivotal role for an analytically-minded and highly organized individual to directly support the engineering executive leadership team in driving key strategic initiatives across the company. The ideal candidate will blend a technical foundation with proven project management or strategy expertise to effectively coordinate complex, cross-functional efforts and manage critical communication workflows.

Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Project Coordination & Execution
  • Lead Project Management: Own the coordination, tracking, and communication of high-priority strategic projects that span multiple internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Finance, People, Legal) and organizational levels.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for the CoS with departmental leads, ensuring alignment, surfacing roadblocks, and maintaining momentum on key initiatives.
  • Meeting Management: Prepare agendas, presentations, and follow-up documentation for internal strategy reviews and project steering committee meetings.
2. Analytical Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Shareholder Communication Support: Conduct analytical review and drafting/editing of responses to high-stakes internal and external communications, particularly emails and reports directed to shareholders, executive leadership, and the Board.
  • Information Synthesis: Digest complex technical, financial, and operational information into clear, concise, and strategic summaries for executive consumption and decision-making.
  • Executive Briefing: Prepare the CoS for meetings by providing timely and relevant research, talking points, and data-driven insights.
3. Operational Support & Chief of Staff Partnership
  • Prioritization Support: Assist the CoS in managing and prioritizing their strategic calendar, aligning time and resources with the company's highest priorities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in organizational processes and reporting structures to streamline the CoS office operations.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct rapid, targeted research and analysis on emerging business opportunities or threats to inform strategic planning.
Qualifications:Required:
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in a high-growth environment, ideally within a strategy consulting firm, internal corporate strategy team, Program Management Office (PMO), or an operational role with a strategic focus.
  • Technical Background: Demonstrated understanding of technical concepts, engineering workflows, or data analysis (e.g., a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field).
  • Project Management Acumen: Proven ability to manage complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities, from inception to completion.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to think analytically, structure complex arguments, and communicate (written and verbal) clearly and persuasively to executive and external audiences.
Preferred:
  • Industry Experience: Experience working in the technology sector.
  • Financial Literacy: Basic understanding of financial statements and corporate governance to effectively support shareholder communications.

This role is hybrid from our Boston office. It requires two in-office days each week, ideally Tuesday and Thursday.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to specific skills, experience and expertise, role location, certifications, licenses, and business needs.
