Job description

Forward Deployed Activity Based Intelligence Analyst
The Opportunity:
You're an expert in analyzing geospatial and imagery intelligence and combining it with numerous other intelligence streams, but you don't want to just write reports or do the status quo. You want to interact directly with the teams that make an impact. You want to be a part of a team that enables action. We're looking for you, an analyst who can provide geospatial analysis enhanced by human, signals, and open-source intelligence steams, and is adept at leveraging big data and modernized analytical methodologies.
You will have the opportunity to understand the needs of your end customers and provide them with meaningful insights to deliver effective solutions, potentially traveling to meet them in their own spaces to find the best way to support possible. Using tools like ArcGIS, QT Modeler, Remote View, and SocetGXP, you will take data from multiple sources and tease out trends to inform decision makers behind military operations and policy analysis. You will also have opportunities to expand your skills with technical training to build your own tool kit and learn new technologies like Python scripting and JEMA modeling or leverage Artifi cia l Intelligence ( AI ) and Machine Learning ( ML ) methodologies. Whether working individually or as a team, your support to critical and emerging operations will provide you with the continuous insight and feedback from those who depend the most on your products and analysis. This position is located in Springfield, VA. The position will work on a 4-to-6-month rotation that will deploy to a forward location, be it CONUS or OCONUS, based on mission needs.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with geospatial analysis and presenting results in the form of data sets, visualization, and models for inclusi on in standard and formalized intelligence analysis products
  • Experience applying Activity Based Intelligence ( ABI ) methodologies to intelligence problem sets
  • Experience in Counterterrorism , Counter-Narcotic, or Counter-Threat Finance analysis and operations
  • Experience with Micro sof t Word, PowerPoint, database entry, graphics design principles, ArcGIS, QT Modeler, the Integrated Exploitation Capability ( IEC ) system, Remote View, or SocetGXP
  • Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographic information systems ( GIS ) , geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry
  • Knowledge of a programming or scripting language and appropriate sof tware used to analyze geospatial data or commer cia l imagery, products, processes, and sensors
  • Ability to read and comprehend intelligence issues and military affairs and use GIS to develop geospatial intelligence reports and products that solve problems
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with the extraction of feature data using NTM, Mapping, Charting and Geodesy ( MC & G ) Stereo Imagery, Digital Point Positioning Database ( DPPDB ) , or Orthorectified Mono equivalent , including Precise Terrain and Ortho Product ( PTOP ) , Mr. Sid Orthorectified Geotiffs ( MSOG ) , Precise Orthorectified Image Datasets ( POl D ) , or Controlled Image Base ( CIB )
  • Experience with a previous deployment
  • Experience in the military or providing demonstrated support to military operations
  • Knowledge of the DoD tasking and collection process
  • Knowledge of the DoD and the intelligence community ( IC )
  • Ability to create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products
  • Ability to c ond uct quality control checks without significant errors
  • Ability to use a variety of DoD specified digital data formats, including commer cia l imagery, panchromatic data, spectral data, SAR, and OPIR data
  • Possession of excellent customer service skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
