We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at Practical Solutions Counseling. • Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients’ homes or group therapy at our outpatient center, focusing on evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate anger management and coping skills workshops while teaching social skills to clients and reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.
• Develop strategic interventions aimed at improving decision-making skills for both children and their caretakers, assisting them in managing behavioral challenges at home.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, engaging with professionals from different fields to create comprehensive support plans.
• Ensure timely submission of all required documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, while adhering to compliance standards.
• Participate actively in monthly team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and provide recommendations for best practices.

Our services cater to a diverse range of children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will have the opportunity to work closely with families from various backgrounds, providing supportive care and guidance tailored to their unique experiences. • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• An active, unrestricted LMFT license issued in the state of Florida.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during evening hours (4-7 PM) along with flexibility for weekend sessions.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, registered vehicle to facilitate in-home visits.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure client safety and compliance.

• Experience providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies for children with emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Demonstrated expertise in working with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable, enabling effective communication with bilingual families.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Other benefits include:
