What are we looking for?
SoftPro is seeking a Release/DevOps Engineer to join our talented and passionate Release Management development team. We are an established team of highly skilled engineers and are busy creating enhancements that will continue to benefit our customers for years and years to come! We use the latest Microsoft technologies and encourage design input and creativity. We are looking for awesome people to join the SoftPro Team! This employee can be located in the Raleigh, NC office and work a hybrid schedule, or work in a remote location.
What will I do as a Release/Dev Ops Engineer at SoftPro?
  • Work on high-complexity, high-impact stories and initiatives
  • Evaluate and analyze business requirements
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and other IT team members to manage code releases
  • GitHub and DevOps administration
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub
  • Build automated deployment processes using configuration management technologies
  • Deploy new modules, upgrades, and fixes into production environments
  • Perform routine application maintenance tasks
  • Proactively identify, anticipate, and communicate issues to team members
  • Recommend innovative ways to improve and enhance existing practices
  • Manage tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate effectively with both local and remote teams
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation

What skills will I need to be successful as a Sr. Technical Consultant at SoftPro?
  • Experience with GitHub administration, governance, teams, permissions, and compliance initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD workflows, and Azure DevOps administration
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, SQL Server, networking infrastructure, and Azure services
  • Experience building automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Terraform, YAML, JSON, and ARM templates
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating cloud deployments
  • Strong understanding of the software build, release, and deployment lifecycle
  • Experience integrating APIs, capacity monitoring, and trend analysis
  • Working knowledge of C#, SQL, and package management tools such as NuGet
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical, non-technical, remote, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to think strategically, adapt quickly, and balance quality, timelines, and business priorities
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in Agile environments
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 1โ€“5 years of experience with modern DevOps tools and cloud deployment automation
  • Azure certifications are a plus
