This role is set in a climate-controlled office environment with a flexible remote work option that enables daily communication and interaction with team members and healthcare providers via telehealth platforms. The position allows for a dynamic work setting, requiring regular movement around the facility and virtual engagement with patients.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their condition and develop personalized treatment plans utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and regularly monitor patient progress, modifying treatment strategies as necessary to ensure patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including treatment records and progress reports, using our electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to craft comprehensive treatment plans that encompass individual needs, preferences, and cultural considerations.
• Identify safety concerns and intervene appropriately to reduce symptoms and enhance patient stability.
• Facilitate referrals and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Educate and mentor students, interns, and other professionals in order to foster their development within the mental health field.
• Participate in peer reviews, clinical collaboration, and chart audits to support ongoing team member development and ensure the highest standards of care.

The primary focus of this role will be working with patients and families affected by cancer, providing them with the support needed to navigate the emotional and psychological impacts of their diagnosis. Understanding the unique challenges faced by this patient population will be essential in delivering effective mental health services that not only address psychological symptoms but also contribute to overall well-being and resilience.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in oncology social work or working with patients coping with chronic illnesses will be preferred. Familiarity with telehealth practices and systems would also be advantageous.

The position offers a competitive salary range between $90,000 and $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
