AR Specialist I-Acute Care
Hybrid position, 800 Independence Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA
Three days in office, two days work from home (following approval from training/onboarding)
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the billing of insurance claims and the resolution of issues preventing the payment of outstanding accounts receivable, for assigned payer(s).
Demonstrates a working knowledge of business operations. Positive attitude, attention to detail, questioning attitude, willingness to collaborate with leadership and other team members to continuously improve processes.
Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).
Minimum Requirements:
  • A total of one year of experience across the following: billing or resolving insurance accounts receivable, adjudicating insurance claims, pre-registering or registering patients for healthcare services, handling calls in a customer service call center.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A healthcare certification from an accredited program or an Associate degree may be substituted for one year of experience.

  • Strong candidates should have the following balance of experience: Administrative (Strong Excel Skills- Creating Spreadsheets, Pivot Tables), Denials, Authorizations, Medicaid knowledge

Extensive training provided for entry-level candidates and opportunities for advancement provided.
