About Our Client:

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing healthcare organization seeking experienced Medical Billers to join their remote revenue cycle team. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity supporting a high-volume billing environment with both government and commercial insurance payers.

Job Description:

The Medical Biller is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting medical claims while ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement. This role works with a variety of payer types, researches claim edits and denials, and manages claim corrections to support efficient revenue cycle operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit and process high-volume medical claims for outpatient or inpatient services.
  • Review claims for accuracy before submission, ensuring all required documentation and coding are complete.
  • Research and resolve claim rejections, edits, and denials by making necessary corrections and resubmitting claims.
  • Process approximately 1,500 claims per month while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
  • Work with both commercial insurance carriers and government payers, including Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Differentiate between corrected claims and claim resubmissions to ensure proper reimbursement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve claim acceptance rates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and stay current on payer guidelines and billing requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with both commercial and government insurance payers.
  • Knowledge of outpatient and/or inpatient billing processes.
  • Familiarity with therapy-related services such as physical therapy, wound care, or rehabilitation billing is preferred.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy.
  • Experience with healthcare billing systems such as WellSky and HMS is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
