Job description

Are you a high performance industrial maintenance technician that is in service now or plant maintenance that wants to move into field service and travel in a state wide regional territory. We are hiring with experience in high speed equipment maintenance ie. injection molding, blow molding or packaging equipment maintenance to support growth and service in the US. This position is a remote position working from a home office and travelling to client's plants in the regional territory by a company issued vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Installation of newly purchased plastic molding machines at customer locations across the US. This would include supervising the rigging in of the machine into the facility, leveling and connecting the equipment to a ready state.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to solve issues or assist with problem solving and/or training
  • Focus on developing a respectful and cooperative relationship with customers to gain their trust and support.
  • Work with customers to support their need for spare parts and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Other responsibilities as the role evolves.

Requirements of the Position

  • The successful candidate will have experience in the operation and maintenance of one of injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, extrusion or packaging ie. filing machines and be capable in all aspects of the equipment; Electronic, mechanical and hydraulics.
  • Be familiar with the lifting and moving of heavy equipment and the required safety procedures for same.
  • Be computer literate in the use of online programs such as excel, word etc.
  • Be able to communicate readily with a wide variety of customers.
  • Be willing to travel. While the company tries to plan the travel there will be occasions where the candidate will need to re reactive to the situation.
  • Be able to work in a non-supervised environment and be reactive be self-starting and demonstrate a “can do” attitude
