About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a skilled Injection Molding Technician to join their growing manufacturing team. This role is essential to ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and continuous improvement within a clean, climate-controlled environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up injection molding machines, molds, and dies according to production schedules and specifications
  • Ensure correct process parameters are established for optimal part quality
  • Prepare workstations by clearing previous materials and organizing tools for new production runs
  • Perform mold cleaning and routine preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot molding issues (e.g., short shots, flash, burns) to maintain product quality
  • Operate and adjust molding machinery, automated systems, and auxiliary equipment
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to resolve production or quality issues
  • Complete required documentation accurately and track spare parts usage
  • Follow setup sheets, document process changes, and provide feedback for process improvements
  • Train and support new or existing technicians
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in plastic injection molding (preferred)
  • Experience troubleshooting molding processes and automation equipment
  • Knowledge of injection molding machines and auxiliary systems
  • Understanding of robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or electrical systems
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards (Lockout/Tagout, forklift safety, etc.)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if needed
  • Must have basic personal tools (e.g., Allen wrenches, socket sets)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, and manual dexterity required
