Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health status of patients, focusing on emotional, behavioral, and social functioning.
• Provide psychotherapy and tailored mental health services, addressing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans specific to each patient’s needs, ensuring they are culturally competent and effective.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to develop coordinated care strategies.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adeptly adapting treatment plans based on individual responses and feedback.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatments, and community resources, fostering informed discussions.
• Uphold ethical standards in practice, emphasizing confidentiality and informed consent throughout all patient interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will work primarily with individuals undergoing detoxification and treatment for substance use disorders, in addition to those facing complex mental health issues. This client-centered approach aims to empower patients by providing them with the skills and support they need during this critical phase of their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering psychotherapy and mental health services to individuals with various mental health conditions.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective collaboration and relationship-building with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Strong clinical skills, particularly in conducting assessments and formulating evidence-based treatment plans.

• Experience working in a detox or substance use recovery environment.

Compensation and Benefits
