Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Learning Products, Portfolio, GTM & Credentialing, you will lead the charge in establishing a world-class framework utilizing modern testing technologies like Certiverse and Accredible. What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership & Framework Design
  • Next-Gen Strategy: Define and execute the overarching vision, strategy, and roadmap for Coupa's tiering certification structure aligned with Go-to-Market (GTM) objectives.
  • Tiered Credentials: Manage and mature our three-tiered credentialing architecture:
    • Certifications: Role-based, persona-driven, proctored, and competency-driven credentials with a 2-year expiration and recertification requirement.
    • Micro-certifications: Skill-based, un proctored credentials targeting specific platform capabilities and technical modules.
    • Certificates of Completion: Non-exam milestones recognizing formative course completion and participation.

Exam Architecture:
  • High-Fidelity Exam Creation using Certiverse: Lead the end-to-end design, blueprinting, beta testing, and psychometric validation of exams to ensure scientific integrity and fairness.
  • Job Task Analysis (JTAs): Partner closely with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to conduct formal JTAs and align assessments with real-world customer personas.
  • Legally Defensible Exams: Build highly reliable testing mechanisms that eliminate candidate frustration and provide trusted market relevance.

Platforms, Badging & Operations
  • Certiverse Optimization: Own the primary relationship, sandbox testing, and deployment of Certiverse to significantly accelerate content cycles, crowdsource exam creation, and scale secure testing.
  • Secure AI Proctoring: Maintain and monitor a flexible, 24/7 on-demand AI proctoring experience allowing global candidates to test securely from anywhere.
  • Digital Badging: Manage the automation and delivery of digital badges through Accredible, ensuring streamlined certification renewals, community tagging, and directory listings.
  • Operational Excellence: Track critical program KPIs, including registration volume, pass/fail rates, renewal data, and financial ROI.

AI Innovation & Agile Delivery
  • AI-First Content Acceleration: Actively design and deploy AI prompts and utilities (e.g., Gemini/ claude) to generate exam metadata, tag catalog structures, and pre-test content clarity.
  • Agile Adaptability: Embrace an Agile development methodology over rigid, traditional instructional design formats to ensure rapid prototyping and quick responses to SaaS product updates.

What You Will Bring to Coupa
  • SaaS Background: 5+ years of experience directing or leading credentialing, certification, or psychometric exam development programs within a high-growth Enterprise SaaS environment.
  • Modern Testing Tools: Proven experience leveraging Certiverse (or equivalent rapid exam development platforms) and Accredible (or equivalent badging platforms Credly).
  • Psychometric Acumen: Deep understanding of testing standards, including blueprinting, cut-score studies, beta testing analytics, and item writing techniques.
  • AI and Digital Literate: Forward-thinking experience integrating AI tools (e.g., large language models/Gemini) into business workflows to automate tagging, item generation, or reporting.
  • Fast-Paced Execution: A strong bias for action with demonstrated experience working in Agile project environments (e.g., Asana-driven sprint cycles).
