Job description

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading engineering firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to industrial, electric utilities, power plants and energy developers throughout the U.S.
ECI has an immediate opening for an experienced Industrial Automation engineer. The successful candidate will provide Automation & System Integration engineering services in the manufacturing & power generation industries. Tasks include programming devices such as Programmable Logic Controllers, configuration of network switches, development of logic diagrams & electrical drawings, configuration of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and technical reviews of drawings and device settings. Experience with Rockwell, GE & Emerson PLC's and HMI preferred, but not required.
A remote/hybrid work option would be considered for applicants that have extensive experience in industrial automation or process control.
Minimum Requirements: BSEE, BSEET or MSEE preferred; BSME, BSMET or other degrees with significant heavy industrial controls and automation background will be considered; 4+ years direct experience in industrial automation or process control or combination of education and experience; P.E. preferred; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment; commitment to quality and accuracy; and a willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules. The successful applicant may be subject to client-mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.
