Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews to assess patients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

  • Stay informed on the latest psychotherapy advancements, integrating novel techniques into treatment approaches to improve care quality.
  • Provide guidance and resources to families and primary caregivers dealing with mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.
  • Manage referrals and coordinate care transitions for clients requiring additional services or support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base comprises diverse individuals seeking mental health support, ranging from children to seniors, couples, and families. The counselor will focus on various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and interpersonal relationship challenges. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • A valid and current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the National Counseling Exam (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
