What skills and qualifications are needed for remote hybrid sales?

To thrive as a Remote Hybrid Sales professional, you need strong sales acumen, product knowledge, and a proven track record in meeting or exceeding targets, often supported by a bachelor's degree in business or related fields. Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce, virtual communication tools such as Zoom, and digital sales platforms is typically required. Remote hybrid sales professionals often use a mix of digital tools, such as video conferencing, CRM platforms, and instant messaging apps, to maintain seamless communication with both their team and clients. Regular virtual meetings, collaborative document sharing, and real-time updates help ensure everyone stays aligned on goals and progress. What is a remote hybrid sales job?

Remote hybrid sales jobs are positions where sales professionals split their time between working remotely (such as from home) and working from a traditional office or in-person settings. This flexible work arrangement allows employees to leverage technology for virtual meetings and outreach, while still having opportunities for face-to-face collaboration and client engagement. The hybrid model is designed to offer both productivity and work-life balance, catering to both business needs and employee preferences.

Job description

Benefits:
  • 401(k)

We are an independent insurance agency based in Southern California, representing multiple carriers across personal and commercial lines. We believe insurance is more than paperwork — it's the safety net that protects businesses, families, and livelihoods. Every policy we place is a promise kept. As we grow our reach nationally, we're looking for driven, self-motivated individuals who want to build a real career in insurance — not just fill a seat.
This is a hybrid sales and client services role. You will be responsible for prospecting new commercial and personal lines clients through outbound calls, setting qualified appointments, and supporting existing clients with policy service needs. You'll work directly with our licensed agents to gather quote information and help move prospects through the pipeline. Our current commercial book spans attorney firms, artisan contractors (electricians, plumbers), service businesses (auto repair, floor cleaning), and we are actively pursuing opportunities in the aviation/FBO sector — a candidate with contacts or experience in that space would be a significant asset.
This role is fully remote. You will be equipped with the tools, training, and support needed to succeed — but you must be comfortable working independently and holding yourself accountable to clear production goals. You must have your own computer and access to the internet. You will be given remote access to our servers and online apps.
Your Responsibilities will Include:
• Make outbound calls to prospecting lists you develop to generate new business opportunities
• Set and confirm appointments (phone or video) between prospects and a licensed agent
• Conduct or assist with quote questionnaires so our agents can run accurate quotes
• Manage and service existing client accounts — answering questions, processing payments, and identifying cross-sell opportunities
• Follow up on warm referrals and re-engage lapsed or inactive clients
• Maintain accurate activity records and update client files consistently
We are Looking for Candidates who Possess:
• Strong verbal communication skills — you are comfortable on the phone and can build rapport quickly
• Self-motivated with the discipline to work independently in a remote environment
• Organized and detail-oriented — you follow through and don't let things fall through the cracks
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career in insurance, not just finding a job
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Prior insurance, sales, or customer service experience is a plus — but not required
• A current insurance license (P&C or Life/Health) is a plus — but not required
• Experience in or connections to the aviation industry is a bonus we'd love to hear about
LICENSING
If you are not yet licensed, we offer two paths:
1. Agency-sponsored: We cover the cost of your training course, exam prep and state exam fee. In exchange, you sign a one-year commitment agreement. If you do not pass your exam on the first attempt, subsequent exam fees are your responsibility along with your fingerprinting fees.
2. Self-sponsored: You obtain your license independently at your own expense. Upon completing your first year with us, we will reimburse you in full for your licensing costs.
WHAT WE OFFER
• Competitive hourly pay: $15–$18/hr based on experience, plus a performance bonus structure
• Health insurance (50% company match)
• Optional dental, vision, and cancer insurance
• 2 weeks paid vacation, sick days, and personal days
• 401(k) retirement plan
• Career mentorship and a clear path for advancement
• A fully remote work environment with a supportive, collaborative team
Please send us your resume along with a brief note (a few sentences is fine) telling us why this role interests you and what makes you a strong fit. We review every application and will follow up with next steps.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All offers are contingent upon a successful background check. EOE/M/F/V/D

This is a remote position.
