Role Summary
The LSSMBB is a senior, client-facing consultant who leads process improvement engagements as needs arise. The consultant diagnoses complex operational challenges, structures and leads improvement work, builds client capability, and translates evidence into practical recommendations and measurable results. Assignments are governed by engagement-specific scopes, schedules, deliverables, travel expectations, and commercial terms; work volume is planned as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Scope, charter, plan, and lead end-to-end Lean Six Sigma, operational excellence, and process transformation engagements from discovery through implementation and sustainment.
  • Partner with sponsors and process owners to define the problem, voice of the customer, CTQs, success measures, governance, risks, and decision rights.
  • Use DMAIC, DMADV/DFSS, Lean, Kaizen, value-stream mapping, process mapping, root-cause analysis, FMEA, control planning, and other fit-for-purpose methods.
  • Design data-collection plans and integrate quantitative and qualitative evidence from system data, interviews, focus groups, surveys, observations, Gemba walks, time studies, and document reviews.
  • Analyze variation and performance using appropriate tools such as control charts, capability analysis, Pareto analysis, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, sampling, and qualitative synthesis.
  • Develop future-state processes, operating models, standard work, controls, implementation roadmaps, and defensible business cases tied to cost, cycle time, quality, productivity, customer experience, risk, capacity, or revenue.
  • Design and facilitate inclusive live or virtual Kaizen events; summarize decisions, future-state maps, prioritized actions, owners, due dates, risks, expected benefits, and sustainment plans.
  • Design, facilitate, and continuously improve White, Yellow, Green, and Black Belt learning and certification programs; coach candidates through applied projects.
  • Integrate change/transformation management, including stakeholder and impact analysis, readiness, sponsorship, communications, learning, resistance management, adoption, governance, and benefit realization.
  • Create and present concise executive briefings that connect the problem, evidence, insights, options, risks, recommendations, investment, and expected value.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate synthesis, analysis, documentation, learning design, and presentation development; identify suitable automation/RPA opportunities while protecting client data and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, operational excellence, process transformation, or closely related engagements.
  • Verifiable Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from a credible organization; an exceptional Black Belt with substantial enterprise-level LSSMBB experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional engagements and delivering measurable, sustained business results.
  • Strong transactional and service-process experience. Financial services, asset/wealth management, investment management, brokerage, retirement services, banking, fintech, insurance, or another regulated environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with organizations comparable in scale and complexity to global world class financial / investment firms. Relevant transformation experience in other complex industries will also be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, statistics, analytics, operations, organization development, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating multiple Lean Six Sigma certification levels and coaching belt candidates.
  • Strong executive presence, consulting judgment, facilitation, effective listening, writing, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
