Davidson Hospitality Group is a dynamic and innovative hospitality management company that is constantly seeking top talent to join its team. With its headquarters located in the heart of the hospitality industry in Atlanta, Georgia, Davidson Hospitality Group is a leader in hotel and resort management, providing comprehensive and results-driven services to a diverse portfolio of properties across the United States. As a job applicant, you can expect to work in a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages creativity, growth, and professional development. With a strong commitment to excellence in guest service, employee engagement, and financial performance, Davidson Hospitality Group offers a rewarding and fulfilling career path for individuals who are passionate about the hospitality industry. Whether you are seeking a corporate role in operations, sales and marketing, revenue management, finance, human resources, or other areas, Davidson Hospitality Group offers a wide range of career opportunities for motivated and talented individuals. Join the team at Davidson Hospitality Group and be a part of a dynamic and growing organization that is dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

Overview

Are you a hotel marketing leader who thrives on stepping into a new environment, quickly assessing the opportunity, and making an immediate impact?

Davidson Hospitality Group is seeking a Corporate Task Force Director of Marketing to provide dedicated, hands-on marketing leadership to hotels and venues across our portfolio during periods of transition, leadership vacancies, business need, or other defined periods of support.

Serving as the property marketing leader, you'll own the day-to-day marketing function and work closely with hotel leadership, Revenue Management, Operations, ownership, agency partners, and Davidson's above-property marketing team to develop and execute strategies that support the hotel's business and revenue goals.

This role is about much more than providing additional marketing resources. You'll bring continuity, strategic direction, and hands-on execution to each assignment, ensuring the hotel's marketing strategy remains active, relevant, and performance-driven.

This is a remote-based position with periodic travel. The expectation is for this individual to be deployed on task force assignments on a full-time basis, with individual assignments typically ranging from several weeks to several months depending on business needs. When not actively deployed to support specific hotel(s) needs, you'll support strategic portfolio initiatives such as enterprise implementations, marketing audits, agency reviews, hotel onboarding and transitions, and other special projects.

If you enjoy variety, thrive in changing environments, and can quickly build relationships while turning strategy into action, this is an opportunity to make an impact across a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts.

Responsibilities

As Corporate Task Force Director of Marketing, you will focus on the following:

  • Marketing Strategy & Business Leadership

    • Create, manage, and continuously enhance the marketing plan.
    • Develop integrated, omni-channel marketing strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives, revenue strategy, positioning, and key priorities.
    • Translate strategy into actionable marketing tactics and campaigns across the traveler journey.
    • Identify opportunities to build awareness, demand, engagement, and conversion.
    • Participate in weekly revenue management meetings and collaborate with commercial leaders to align marketing activity with business needs.
    • Participate in ownership meetings and provide clear visibility into marketing strategy, priorities, performance, and results.

    Campaign & Channel Management

    • Develop and deploy marketing tactics that support the overall marketing strategy.
    • Manage email marketing initiatives and campaigns.
    • Manage and maintain hotel websites, including updates and content optimization.
    • Manage social media channels when agency support is not in place.
    • Ensure marketing activity is coordinated across paid, earned, owned, and social channels.
    • Manage hotel assets within the VAULT and ensure content is current, relevant, and readily available for use.
    • Coordinate the development and deployment of marketing materials in partnership with internal and external resources.

    Agency & Partner Management

    • Serve as the primary hotel contact for marketing agencies and partners, including Public Relations, Paid Digital, Social Media, and other specialty partners.
    • Provide direction, priorities, and strategic context to agency partners.
    • Review agency recommendations, deliverables, and performance to ensure alignment with hotel objectives.
    • Coordinate with Davidson's above-property marketing resources and specialty teams as appropriate.

    Activation, Community & Brand Engagement

    • Forge and maintain relevant community partnerships that support hotel and venue awareness and business objectives.
    • Partner with hotel operations to identify and execute activations, programming, promotions, and experiences that strengthen the guest experience and support commercial goals.
    • Identify opportunities to bring the hotel's brand and positioning to life through relevant storytelling and experiences.

    Marketing Operations & Financial Management

    • Manage the hotel's marketing budget, including expense tracking, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Manage marketing technology, platforms, and tool integrations.
    • Maintain marketing calendars, workflows, and deployment schedules.
    • Ensure marketing initiatives are executed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with established brand and company standards.

    Reporting & Performance

    • The Task Force Director of Marketing provides consistent visibility into marketing activity, priorities, and performance through weekly and monthly reporting.
