Overview
The Senior Sales Manager will primarily work from the Phoenix/ Scottsdale area, and will be in office for specific meetings, strategy sessions and site visits. The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for keeping in contact with existing business and soliciting new business. The DOS is responsible for all sales efforts and sales team's efforts in relation to maintaining existing accounts, prospecting for new business, implementing new strategies for expanding current markets, regions, or niche markets. Oversees the Meetings & Events Manager, Catering/Conference Coordinator and the Conference Set Up person. Generates reports for both group & social sales. Assist the GM in development of sales plan and assists with
developing special sales & marketing promotions.

Requirements
New Business Development
  • Hotel Sales experience is necessary.
  • Design and Implement new strategies for bringing in new business. This will include making cold calls to prospective clients.
  • Maintain & Re-qualify all prospects
  • Follow up on all leads
  • Give site inspections• Entertain potential clients
  • Develop new accounts from regions and or markets approved by Director of Sales on approved methods.
  • Continually qualify and re-qualify all new and existing accounts, follow-up all leads & inquiries for his or her designated sales area.
  • Participate in Bi-Weekly Call Productivity meetings with DOS & GM- Discuss calls, lost business, possible business, leads, forecasting, etc.
  • Sales call report turned into DOS/GM bi-weekly @ meeting
  • Attend staff meeting and F&B meeting
  • Attend Industry Trade Shows, Net Work w/local colleagues
  • Quarterly Meetings with DOS to discuss current sales action plan, change in sales plan for next quarter, discuss strategy for fill need periods- letter, flyer, etc. & help implement
  • Regularly monitor competitors (rates, services, facilities, incentives for planners) and help strategize to keep our property competitive
  • Pro-Active thinking on any special offers/incentives to generate new business and discuss with DOS steps/costs to implement
  • Keep prospect data base/files up to date
  • Conduct site inspections to prospective clients
  • Cold calls to agreed upon markets
