Remote hospitality management refers to overseeing and operating hospitality businesses, such as hotels, resorts, or vacation rentals, from a location outside of the physical property. This approach utilizes digital tools and software to manage reservations, guest communications, staff scheduling, and property maintenance remotely. It enables managers to monitor operations, address guest needs, and ensure service quality without being on-site. This model is becoming increasingly popular due to advancements in technology and the growing demand for flexible work environments in the hospitality industry.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote hospitality management, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote hospitality management often face challenges such as maintaining team cohesion, ensuring consistent guest experiences across locations, and effectively managing operations from a distance. Overcoming these hurdles typically requires strong digital communication skills, regular virtual team meetings, and the use of cloud-based management tools to monitor performance and guest feedback. Building clear processes and fostering a culture of accountability are also essential for success in a remote setting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote hospitality manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Hospitality Manager, you need strong organizational skills, hospitality operations knowledge, and typically a degree in hospitality management or a related field. In this role, you will support the hospitality sales organization and its INNCOM and Onity portfolio by helping the team operate efficiently, consistently, and with strong commercial discipline.

You will combine sales operations capabilities with an understanding of technical sales and hospitality market dynamics. Working with Sales, Operations, R&D, Engineering, Product Marketing, partners, and customer-facing stakeholders, you will improve process execution, maintain reliable data and reporting, support proposal and integration activities, and provide insights that help the sales team identify, develop, and advance opportunities.

Your impact will be measured through the quality of sales support, forecast and pipeline accuracy, timely reporting, effective use of sales tools, and the ability to help the team deliver a strong customer experience across hospitality opportunities.

Honeywell Technologies is a global, pure-play automation company with a legacy of innovating to help solve the world's most mission-critical challenges, enhancing the quality of life for people and communities around the world. We serve the building, industrial and process sectors with a broad portfolio of services, solutions and products, underpinned by our Honeywell Technologies Accelerator operating system and Honeywell Technologies Forge intelligence layer. By combining the deep domain expertise of our more than 50,000 employees with decades of data from our global installed base, we are uniquely positioned to lead the industrial sector's transition from automation to autonomy.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2+ years of experience in sales operations, technical sales support, sales enablement, or a related customer-facing commercial role.
  • Proven experience supporting sales processes, forecasts, pipelines, reports, dashboards, or opportunity management.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, tools, and data-quality practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to support technical solutions, proposals, integrations, or customer initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear actions and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and deliver accurate work with limited direction.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry, particularly guestroom automation, energy management, hotel technology, electronic locking, or connected-room solutions.
  • Knowledge of Honeywell INNCOM and Onity platforms or similar hospitality technology portfolios.
  • Salesforce experience, including opportunity, pipeline, forecast, and reporting workflows.
  • Strong business acumen and an understanding of hospitality market dynamics, customer decision processes, and technical solution selling.
  • Experience supporting relationships with hotel ownership and management groups, consultants, engineers, contractors, integrators, or channel partners.
  • Strategic thinking, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a continuous-improvement approach.
  • Strong technical aptitude combined with attention to detail and commercial judgment.
  • Experience supporting pipeline generation, revenue performance, profitability, and sales excellence objectives.
  • Ability to contribute effectively as both an independent owner and a collaborative team member.

The annual base salary range for this position is $75,900-$94,950. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, validate, and analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement across the hospitality business.
  • Support the sales team in creating and maintaining accurate forecasts, opportunity records, and pipelines for INNCOM and Onity solutions.
  • Partner with sales representatives to coordinate opportunity qualification, proposal development, customer follow-up, and sales-cycle administration.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that track sales activity, pipeline health, performance metrics, and business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Engineering, and Product Marketing to streamline sales processes and support integration initiatives and customer solutions.
  • Help structure work plans, coordinate analysis, and prepare clear recommendations, presentations, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training and day-to-day support to sales team members on Salesforce, sales tools, processes, and data-quality expectations.
  • Maintain awareness of hospitality market dynamics, guestroom automation and energy management trends, and customer requirements that may affect sales execution.
  • Build productive working relationships with ownership and management groups, consultants, engineers, contractors, partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by documenting best practices, identifying process gaps, and implementing practical solutions with limited direction.
