As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your primary responsibility will be to deliver psychological support and therapeutic interventions to patients facing advanced illness, mental health challenges, and grief-related issues. Specific tasks include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to identify the psychological, social, and emotional needs of patients and their families.
• Developing individualized treatment plans informed by evidence-based practices, ensuring alignment with established therapeutic goals.
• Providing a range of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to client preferences and requirements.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation that meets HIPAA standards, documenting patient progress and treatment strategies.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a holistic approach to patient care.
• Facilitating family meetings to support relational dynamics and coordinate care discussions.
• Educating patients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources.
• Engaging in case consultations and peer reviews to enhance service delivery and uphold quality standards.

This position involves working with patients experiencing terminal illnesses and their families, focusing on psychosocial assessments, grief counseling, and support during the critical stages of end-of-life care. You will address a spectrum of emotional responses, from fear and anxiety to anticipatory grief, while promoting resilience and coping strategies among patients and their caregivers.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on providing psychotherapy and social support.
• Strong understanding of solution-focused therapeutic interventions and mental health care methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective teamwork and client interaction.

• Prior experience in hospice, palliative care, or geriatric social work is highly desirable.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation efficiently and securely.
• A background in crisis intervention and managing complex family dynamics in high-stress environments.
