• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health status through interviews, questionnaires, and observational methods to identify issues and tailor individual treatment plans.
• Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing various methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to address specific client needs.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individual and group settings, equipping clients with tools and strategies for coping with their challenges and achieving their therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and caseworkers, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations while utilizing EHR systems for efficient record-keeping.
• Provide referrals to external specialists when necessary, ensuring clients receive well-rounded support across the mental health continuum.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in mental health practices and engage in ongoing professional development to continuously enhance counseling skills and cultural competence.

The client population you will serve includes a diverse range of individuals facing complex mental health issues, including but not limited to substance abuse disorders, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, and eating disorders. Your role will involve working closely with patients from various socio-economic backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment that respects and understands differing cultural contexts and experiences.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must hold a current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is essential, with a strong foundation in various therapeutic approaches.
• Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques, maintaining a calm presence in challenging situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong comfort level with technology.
• A commitment to ethical guidelines, including maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

• Experience utilizing culturally responsive practices in therapy and a demonstrated understanding of cultural competence in mental health services.
• Previous involvement in multidisciplinary team collaboration, contributing effectively to client care planning and execution.
