Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing various methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to address specific client needs.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individual and group settings, equipping clients with tools and strategies for coping with their challenges and achieving their therapeutic goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and caseworkers, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The client population you will serve includes a diverse range of individuals facing complex mental health issues, including but not limited to substance abuse disorders, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, and eating disorders. Your role will involve working closely with patients from various socio-economic backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment that respects and understands differing cultural contexts and experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must hold a current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • A minimum of four years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is essential, with a strong foundation in various therapeutic approaches.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques, maintaining a calm presence in challenging situations.
