Position Overview

Telecare Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in improving patients' mental health through direct counseling and evidence-based therapy. Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting while maintaining a supportive digital environment. Our telehealth facility is equipped with secure and user-friendly technology, enabling seamless client interactions. You will be responsible for utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress, ensuring compliance with health regulations while providing high-quality care. You will also participate in regular virtual team meetings to enhance collaboration, share best practices, and discuss client cases with fellow professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to understand their mental health status and treatment needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, ensuring a well-rounded approach for each individual.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, utilizing a range of techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy to mindfulness practices.
• Monitor client progress, making adjustments to therapeutic strategies as necessary to maximize efficacy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care, making referrals to psychiatrists or support services when needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and client interactions within our EHR system.
• Provide crisis intervention support, employing strong de-escalation techniques to help clients in immediate distress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Telecare Counseling Center, you will primarily work with adult clients facing various challenges, including mood disorders, substance abuse, and behavioral issues. Our client population is diverse, encompassing a range of backgrounds, experiences, and cultural perspectives. You will be expected to deliver culturally responsive care, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid mental health counseling license (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in Washington state.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, providing individual and group therapy.
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Upper-level proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telehealth technology.
• Demonstrated ability to connect with diverse populations through interpersonal skills and cultural competence.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a telehealth setting or familiarity with remote counseling practices.
• Strong background in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorder.
• Clinical experience that includes crisis intervention, case management, and treatment planning.
