Job description

Overview
Amyx is seeking to hire a PLC Programmer for a remote position supporting a DLA Operational Technology (OT) contract. The PLC Programmer will assist a dynamic technical team to ensure the stable operation of all PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and associated automation. The PLC programmer will serve as a key point-of-contact to advise and assist with daily operations, troubleshooting, disaster planning, and modernization. The PLC Programmer will need to working collaboratively and be willing to share and learn new skills.
Daily work will include aligning Utility Monitoring and Control Systems (UMCS) Electronics Security Systems (ESS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), Fire and Emergency Services Systems, Fule Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Fuels Dispensing, Tank Gauging Systems, Material Handling, and other OT Systems.
Work may include occasional travel and on-site work in industrial environments and/or customer sites.
Responsibilities
  • Assist facilities, engineering, and administrator teams with troubleshooting PLC or HMI workstations issues.
  • Perform basic PLC debugging, toubleshooting, maintenance, and ladder logic updates
  • Work with local OT personnel on any issues network, software or system.
  • Assist teams with continuity of operations (backup) planning and execution for ladder logic.
  • Support numerous commercial, DoD supplied, and internally developed software applications for current and legacy systems
  • Assist with changing DoD security requirements.
  • Support applications, system development, and modernization.
  • Communicate and coordinate with contract leads and customers.
  • Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Qualifications
Required:
  • CISA 300v, CISA 401v, and Security+ CE certification within 60 days after offer acceptance.
  • Ability to support occasional travel to DLA sites CONUS and OCONUS.
  • NACLC and IT-II eligibility
  • Experience with various OT vendors and systems including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and network protocols
  • Experience with PLC programming.
  • 3+ years of PLC and HMI development experience
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment.

Desired:
  • Desired locations: New Cumberland, PA; Tracy, CA; Ogden, UT; Norfolk, VA; Oklahoma City, OK
  • Industrial, manufacturing, and/or material handling experience.
  • DoD experience
  • Valid US Passport
  • Training or certification in Operational Technology (OT)
  • Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), ISA Certified Control System Technician (CCST), or relevant OT certification through a nationally recognized organization.
