Description

We are looking to hire a candidate on our Clinical Integrated Solutions team, which is responsible for a mixture of application implementation and ongoing support of over 100 ancillary 3rd party clinical applications throughout the Emory organization.  You will be at the forefront of running your own implementation projects and dealing with every layer of the technical stack from the application, server, network, and database layers including HL7 interface.  This team uses their technical skills to provide guidance and direction in the development, implementation, and technical troubleshooting of complex production information systems. You will conducts research in automation techniques to improve application performance, efficiency, and testing.  Provides assistance in isolating and solving problems within application systems, interfaces, and middleware infrastructure. Provides production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must come from an IT healthcare focused position, ideally performing application implementation oriented work where you bring sound skills across infrastructure, database, and application layers.
  • HL7 interface experience is a critical skill
  • Active Directory/Windows OS
  • SQL Server -- understand how to setup, execute queries, upgrade, etc.
  • Citrix Virtualization
  • sound networking fundamentals (IP, VLAN's, Routing)
  • While this team is not performing 'infrastructure' work and geared towards the application implementation and support side, this is a highly technical role requiring the all encompassing experience noted above.  Candidates coming from IT healthcare application integration/implementation roles where they can troubleshoot all components is what we are seeking.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in application systems/administration OR 7 years of experience without a degree.
  • Prefer proficiency in at least two scripting languages used currently in production.
  • Must be able to lead, engage and mentor others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration.
  • Must have good business skills.
  • Must be able to lead problem solving efforts when mission critical systems are interrupted.
