Job description

Title: EPIC Build Analyst

Location: Remote- must work est hours

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

AS EPIC BUILD SUPPORT YOU WILL:

  • Responsible for configuration, support, and ongoing optimization of Epic Identity/HIM as it relates to Data Integrity and the enterprise goal of one single patient Medical Record.
  • Represent the Patient Identity and Him Build Team with an exceptional level of communication to interact successfully and effectively within various meetings, teams, departments, and business unit leaders.
  • Participate in Epic TS Support calls and coordinate Build calls when needed.
  • Update and maintain accurate Epic Sherlock Tickets with build and/or status.
  • Required to ensure an accurate change management ticket is created for all build changes.
  • Provide documentation with details of successful testing and use a build tracker.
  • Attend Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to be aware of all application build moving up to PRD.
  • Present to CAB when HIM/Identity Build is needed.
  • Move your Build through lower environments and up to PRD on CAB approved date/time.
  • Support Epic Upgrades or Build Moves during non-traditional work hours.
  • Establish priorities to ensure goals, expectations, and key performance indicators are met, including timeliness and accuracy of all data and documentation integrity functions.
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization in the various data integrity work queues by compiling, monitoring, and interpreting data.
  • Actively work with our production support team to partner for best practice solution development and implementation.

WHAT CONTRIBUTES TO YOUR SUCCESS

  • Extensive Epic Identity and HIM Build knowledge and experience are required for this position.
  • This position also requires broad knowledge in health information management, legal aspects in relation to information releases, Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMMS), and HIPAA standards associated to Patient Identity Management operations and established CVS Healthcare Performance Expectations in areas of Heart At Work® Behaviors, Performance Improvement, and Shared Values & Culture.
  • The Build user must be detail oriented, as well as action, solution and results oriented and actively demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in managing the Patient Identity Management and HIM Team.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language and to influence others to move towards consensus on critical decisions.
  • Contribution to our teamwork environment, continuously look for ways to improve Epic and departmental workflows.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, computer technology, information management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 4 years Epic Build Experience with healthcare environment
  • Experience working with 3rd Party Vendors and interface support preferred.
  • Experience with HIM department workflows and regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Use of problem-solving skills to determine appropriate solutions necessary to ensure data integrity, patient safety, and exceed customer satisfaction.

Licensure, Certification, Registration:

Epic Certification in Identity and HIM ROI is Required

Epic Certification in HIM Deficiency Tracking and HIM Coding Preferred.
