Job description

Position Overview

Christus Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Rochester, New York. This full-time role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide vital mental health support to clients primarily through teletherapy methods. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive mental health services to individuals seeking help for a variety of emotional and psychological challenges.

About the Organization

At Christus Healthcare Services, we are committed to providing high-quality mental health care tailored to the individual needs of each client. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to achieve their personal growth and well-being through compassionate support and evidence-based therapeutic practices. We take pride in our diverse team of licensed professionals who are dedicated to making a significant impact within our community.

Work Environment

This position is set within a remote framework, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while effectively serving clients from the comfort of your home or a designated workspace. Our supportive culture values collaboration and innovation, providing therapists with access to a network of professionals for referrals and peer consultation. You will enjoy the autonomy to develop your treatment plans while having administrative support for billing and scheduling to enhance your focus on client care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health status using standardized methods, including questionnaires and interviews to inform treatment decisions.
  • Design tailored, evidence-based treatment plans that reflect the unique characteristics and needs of each client, regularly updating these plans based on progress and emerging therapeutic targets.
  • Engage in individual therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches to foster healing.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish clear therapeutic goals, providing ongoing support and adjustments to treatment as required to optimize their mental well-being.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with ethical standards, including treatment logs and progress notes, ensuring consistency and legality in client care.
  • Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to stay informed on best practices, emerging trends, and innovations in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist with Christus Healthcare Services, you will primarily support a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and behavioral issues. You will work to create a safe, trusting environment conducive to open dialogue, helping clients navigate their personal experiences effectively.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active license in the state of New York, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients through an empathetic, non-judgmental approach.
  • Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills, enabling effective case handling and administrative tasks despite a potentially high caseload.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with a diverse client population, particularly in school settings or with youth, is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy tools and technologies is advantageous, supporting efficient, high-quality virtual sessions.
  • Engagement in specialized training or certifications related to trauma, substance use, or adolescent counseling is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
  • Flexible work arrangements conducive to a healthy work-life balance, allowing you to prioritize both your personal and professional commitments.
  • Support for professional growth, including reimbursement for continuing education programs and access to workshops and seminars.
  • Regular peer consultation and supervision provided, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where therapists can thrive.
Career Growth Opportunities

We believe in nurturing our employeesโ€™ careers by providing growth opportunities within our practice. You will have the chance to develop your niche within the therapeutic community, explore leadership roles, and participate in the expansion of services provided, contributing to the overall mission of improving mental health care.

Why Join Our Team

If you are an enthusiastic, licensed therapist eager to make a tangible impact in the lives of clients, Christus Healthcare Services is the place for you. Join a team that values compassionate care, professional development, and innovative approaches to mental health therapy, allowing you to grow both personally and professionally.
