• Conduct thorough assessments and provide crisis interventions to patients experiencing emotional and behavioral issues, utilizing evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to their unique needs.
• Maintain open and effective communication with healthcare providers, documenting patient progress and updates, and coordinating care as necessary to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Accurately prepare and manage clinical records, including detailed progress notes, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment plans and discharge plans based on thorough psychosocial assessments and standard social work interventions.
• Actively engage with community resources and organizations, representing Bedford Healthcare Center at local meetings to advocate for the needs of our patient population.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Bedford Healthcare Center, you will work primarily with diverse adult clients who may present a wide array of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and various substance use disorders. Your ability to connect with and understand varied life experiences will be crucial in providing effective support and facilitating recovery.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Possession of one of the following independent licenses is essential: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a clinical setting, specifically providing mental health counseling services.

• Experience working in community health settings or integrated care models is preferred, as it aligns closely with our operational framework.
• Familiarity with teletherapy tools and virtual counseling methodologies will enhance your effectiveness in this remote role.
