This role operates within a fully remote framework, enabling counselors to work from any location. Our remote work setting fosters collaboration through virtual meetings, video calls, and online workshops. As a key member of our team, you will leverage technology to maintain communication with colleagues and clients while upholding our standards of confidentiality and professional conduct.

• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions to assist clients in overcoming mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Sessions will vary in format and focus: designing treatment plans, manipulating group dynamics, and tailoring family therapies.
• Complete thorough diagnostic assessments to determine client needs, utilizing structured interviews and standardized tests when appropriate. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to client goals.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators, to provide holistic care. Engage in team meetings to review client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records through our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards of confidentiality.
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, training, and educational opportunities to enhance professional skills and adhere to best practices. This may involve attending workshops, webinars, and peer-review sessions.
• Provide crisis intervention and perform risk assessments as necessary, ensuring proactive management of client safety and well-being.

Our clientele ranges from adolescents to adults struggling with various mental health conditions. You will engage with clients who have diverse backgrounds and experiences, creating an inclusive environment where each individual feels heard and understood. This role emphasizes the importance of cultural competence and recognizing the unique challenges faced by each client.

• A Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, or a closely related field.
• Current licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing counseling services in a clinical or community setting.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a strong ability to foster therapeutic relationships.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and mental health software, as well as a willingness to adapt to new technology.

• Experience working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or individuals dealing with substance use disorders is a plus.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Previous involvement in community outreach programs or advocacy work in mental health is highly valued.
