Job description

As a Policy Senior Associate within Morgan Health, you will support the Policy team in its work to raise awareness of Morgan Health's work - particularly around support of small- to mid-sized businesses - maintain connectivity to other industry leaders, partner with organizations around shared goals/priorities, and convene stakeholders interested in improving employer-sponsored health insurance in the United States. The Associate will contribute to these objectives by conducting research, tracking legislative, regulatory and policy developments, contributing to external thought leadership via close collaboration with the Communications team, and building relationships within JPMorgan Chase to achieve synergies in advocacy activities. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support execution of the Policy strategy by working closely with our team to communicate Morgan Health's progress to key stakeholders, including policy reforms, investments, innovative programs, research, and data insights. 
  • Track external policy, regulatory and legislative activity as well as updates and strategic insights on relevant organizations, joint initiatives, and advocacy campaigns.
  • Conduct deep dive research and produce memos, fact sheets, and presentations on external policy trends or topics.
  • Work closely with our Communications team on joint initiatives, specifically to support the development, distribution and tracking of relevant external-facing content for key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with our Health Care Innovation team on internal research and initiatives to apply to relevant Policy activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key JPMorgan Chase partners - such as Government Relations, PolicyCenter - to ensure internal alignment and build synergy across Policy & Advocacy activities.
  • Engage in stakeholder/relationship management with external consultants, advocacy coalitions, and thought partners 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • B.A. required
  • 4 years of related public affairs and/or health care work experience in a consulting, provider, payor, government agency or on Capitol Hill
  • Basic understanding of the U.S. health care system, including key industry and government stakeholders
  • Good judgment, organizational skills, and independent decision-making
  • Ability to interface with senior management and work well with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal / written communication / presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, tracking towards various deadlines
  • Efficient skills using MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Experience with small- to mid-sized business stakeholders
