• Counsel patients individually and in group settings, employing various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in overcoming dependencies and adjusting to life changes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential treatment records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring a secure environment for patient information.
• Guide clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to manage their mental health issues effectively. Foster an open dialogue that encourages clients to express their feelings and thoughts clearly.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients via clinical interviews, observations, and psychological tests to inform treatment planning and progress evaluations.
• Evaluate client conditions based on gathered data, and collaboratively develop and implement personalized treatment plans that draw from best practices and clinical knowledge.
• Act as an advocate for clients, coordinating necessary services and interventions, especially in crisis situations, to ensure their safety and well-being.

We serve a diverse clientele, including adolescents, adults, and elderly patients. Each individual may face unique challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. • Holding a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a closely related field is essential. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• YYou must possess the appropriate credentials and licensing required by the state of New York to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
• Strong understanding of human behavior, psychological assessments, and treatment methodologies is crucial to this role.

• Previous experience in a similar role, providing individual and group counseling, is highly desirable.
• Experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with telehealth systems can contribute significantly to the effectiveness in this position.
• Demonstrated success in developing treatment plans and managing case loads effectively will be regarded favorably.
