Job description

Description
The Process Engineer will be instrumental in the design and execution of all municipal projects. This position will lead efforts in pre-sales support, P&ID and layout drafting, supporting project management in a technical role, and assist with field service when required. This is a remote role however we do have a strong preference for someone in MN, WI, PA.
  • Develops methods for calculating process designs and standardization of methods for defining flows, removal rates, limits of application, and other items as required for a successful application of products.
  • Responsible for development, improvement, and operation of new and existing manufacturing processes for base product.
  • Responsible for developing quality assurance of all process design and manufactured parts for the product.
  • Develops costing tools to show process cost savings against competitive processes.
  • Establishes safety procedures and operational procedures for the process equipment.
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing proposed process flow diagrams against applications limits for customer offers.
  • Accountable for technical paper development for the promotion of processes and products.
  • Attends sales calls when required to assist in closing sales.
  • Develops pilot plant protocols and final reports to build a successful piloting program.
  • Develops general product specifications and limitation guidelines for sales support.
  • Supports remote or on-site startup of solutions design.
  • Other duties as assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university, specializing in chemical, civil or mechanical engineering or the equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years plus of biological process or drinking water process for highly engineered processes.
  • Expert user in Excel for data management and analysis.
  • Experience with BioWin or other biological process design tools.
  • Experience working with remote teams is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
