• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' symptoms related to mood disorders.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in managing and overcoming mood disorders.
• Facilitate educational sessions for clients and their families about mood disorders, possible treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as required to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Work alongside psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments to enhance service delivery.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies for aiding clients effectively.
• Advocate for clients, focusing on reducing mental health stigmas and promoting access to necessary resources.

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will provide critical support to various marginalized groups, including low-income individuals, domestic abuse survivors, and refugees, equipping them with tools necessary for recovery and resilience. Your role is crucial in their journey toward improved mental health and overall well-being.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage caseload and administrative tasks.

• Previous experience in a telehealth or remote counseling setting is advantageous.
