Palm Health Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team. This remote position will allow you to provide essential mental health services to individuals and families in need within our Hospice Center setting located in New Bedford, Massachusetts. • Conduct thorough, comprehensive assessments to identify the emotional, social, and psychological needs of clients, utilizing clinical tools and techniques.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to foster healing and personal growth.
• Develop tailored service plans that outline clear goals and objectives in collaboration with clients, ensuring alignment with their aspirations and circumstances.
• Actively advocate for clients' rights, offering resources and guidance that empower them to navigate healthcare, financial, and social systems effectively.
• Engage in program development and evaluation, contributing insights that bolster our organizational mission and ensure efficacy in service delivery.
• Collaborate with local community organizations, government agencies, and volunteers to enhance our service offerings, address immediate needs, and build sustainable support networks.
• Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and community outreach initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and integrated care.

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals and families who are experiencing significant life transitions, chronic illness, grief, and the complex mental health challenges that can arise in these contexts. You will work with a diverse client base, including those from marginalized communities, ensuring that you deliver culturally competent care tailored to their unique experiences and challenges. Your efforts will help improve patient outcomes by empowering clients to cope with their circumstances and achieve better emotional health.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is mandatory.
• Strong foundation in social justice principles and advocacy practices is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong capacity for empathy and compassion.
• Organizational skills that allow for effective time management and multitasking in a remote working environment.

• Previous experience in a nonprofit organization, particularly within mental health services or social work.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and community resources that support mental health and well-being.
• Proven experience in individual and group therapeutic settings, employing a range of therapeutic methodologies.
