Job Description:
We are seeking a Conference Event Planner to lead the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, and special events supporting the Veterans Health Administration. This role is ideal for a professional with expertise in event planning, project management, and stakeholder coordination. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of event logistics, including scheduling, venue coordination, vendor management, budgeting, communications, and on-site execution, ensuring seamless delivery and an exceptional attendee experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage events, workshops, and summits associated with the Strategic Sprints that are located a VA facilities.
  • Coordinate logistics, registration virtual and in-person setups, content development, breakout sessions, agendas, and participant engagement activities.
  • Provide Post-event evaluations and recommendations for
  • Provide Logistics Coordination plans and Vendor Management documentation
  • Create conference registration materials
  • Provide coordination of all items for conference with VA team and advisory group, covering all activities within pre-planning, planning, execution, and post-conference phases.
  • Provide coordination of onsite logistics and travel
  • Aassist the technology support team and coordination with VA OIT, as needed, for utilization of the conference application.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience planning conferences
  • Prior experience managing federal government events, both face to face and virtual
  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification required, Certified Government Meeting Planner (CGMP) preferred, (in lieu of CMP)

Eligibility:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.

Compensation:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000
