Job description

Remote opportunity. U.S. applicants only. If you're looking for a place where you can sharpen your SEO skills, push your expertise to the next level, and work alongside a team that genuinely loves testing, learning, and winning, we'd love to meet you.

Honest Digital is one of the fastest-growing digital marketing agencies in the automotive industry, and we're continuing to expand our team as we take on new clients across the country.

Unlike many traditional agencies, our specialists have true ownership over both strategy and execution. You'll have the freedom to think critically, challenge assumptions, experiment with new ideas, and see the direct impact of your work. We believe great SEO comes from curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to test what others simply accept as best practice.

Our culture is built around collaboration, continuous learning, and healthy debate. We love ranking things "for sport," exploring new opportunities before competitors do, and uncovering insights through real-world experimentation rather than relying solely on industry consensus.

If you're passionate about SEO, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to grow with a team that's constantly pushing the envelope, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role:

SEO is not a checklist. It's pattern recognition, problem-solving, and experimentation.

We're looking for someone who is analytical, curious, organized, and excited by the challenge of ranking websites in an ever-changing search landscape. If you love testing ideas, questioning assumptions, and uncovering what really drives results, you'll fit right in.

This position reports to the Assistant SEO Manager.

  • Get the best possible organic traffic growth for our client accounts (our average is 70%+ organic traffic increases within 6 months)
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices and tactics, including advanced keyword research, technical changes, etc.
  • Evaluate website traffic and rankings to identify opportunities for traffic growth
  • Collaborate with other SEOs, writers, designers, devs and other team members on new experiments, client work, and more
  • Continuous Learning: Learn something new and interesting every day. We want you to become the best of the best and fully support education, curating a clear path to growth for our employees. Join us for SEO conferences/webinars to discover new trends
  • Implement competitor analysis and website audits
  • Implement internal linking, site structure, keyword cannibalization diagnoses, and competitive analyses
  • Culture Building: Be a leader on the SEO team, helping wherever you can and collaborating with others to achieve team goals
  • Utilize tools such as GA, GSC, GBP, Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog in conjunction with other SEO tools to analyze sets of data for ranking improvements
  • Implement Local SEO initiatives and develop strategies and tactics to rank our client websites
  • Implement GEO initiatives and develop strategies and tactics to get more AIO & LLM visibility
  • Experiment with new SEO tactics and strategies, continuously testing and problem-solving
  • Challenge the status quo and innovate new ways of producing better results

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Client Facing experience
  • 3+ years of SEO experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Passion for SEO and desire to learn more in the field
  • Proven and demonstrated ability to actually rank things! Theoretical knowledge is great, but we want SEOs who have experience in ranking pages and sites
  • Advanced knowledge of GA, GSC, and GBP
  • Knowledge of and experience working with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in an SEO agency environment
  • Ability to thrive in the uncertainty and ever-changing nature of Google's algorithms
  • Ability to execute both short-term and long-term SEO strategies
  • Skilled at uncovering the true client need behind a request and recommending the best path forward, even when it requires challenging assumptions
  • Demonstrated proof of concept (show us some pages you’ve landed top rankings for)
  • Candidates must have a home address within the United States

Extra Awesome If You...

  • Have built and grown your own website. Nothing teaches SEO quite like having your own rankings on the line.

  • Have worked with remote teams
  • Are comfortable in WordPress and other CMS platforms
