Job description

Reddit & Community Engagement Specialist (Remote)
Help Shape Meaningful Conversations in Health & Neuro technology

We're looking for a Reddit & Community Engagement Specialist to help build trust and credibility within online communities focused on health, neuroscience, and chronic illness.

This is not a traditional social media role. Instead of chasing engagement metrics or viral content, you'll represent our brand thoughtfully across platforms like Reddit, Discord, and emerging AI-powered search platforms such as ChatGPT and Perplexity. Your work will focus on fostering authentic conversations, supporting communities, and helping ensure accurate, educational information is accessible where people are actively seeking answers.

If you're someone who understands the culture of online communities, values long-term relationship building, and enjoys participating in meaningful discussions, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Build and manage Parasym's presence across Reddit, Discord, and other relevant online communities.
  • Participate in thoughtful discussions related to vagus nerve stimulation, neuroscience, chronic illness, biohacking, and health technology.
  • Help improve the company's visibility across Reddit, Google Search, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other AI-driven search platforms.
  • Monitor community sentiment, misinformation, moderation activity, and potential reputation risks.
  • Identify and map influential Reddit users, moderators, creators, patient advocates, and community leaders.
  • Develop authentic relationships with trusted members of relevant online communities.
  • Create educational, discussion-focused, Reddit-native content that provides genuine value.
  • Track emerging conversations, industry trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain a thoughtful, ethical approach that prioritizes trust and community value over aggressive growth tactics.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Native or near-native English communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Reddit, forums, and online community culture.
  • Excellent judgment around trust-building, moderation, online reputation, and community engagement.
  • Experience with Reddit SEO, AI search visibility, community research, or ecosystem mapping.
  • Ability to navigate nuanced online discussions with professionalism and long-term thinking.
  • Genuine interest in neuroscience, chronic illness, biohacking, health technology, or patient communities.
