Position Overview

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and behavioral health services directly in patients' homes.


You will work collaboratively with primary care providers, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve mental health outcomes and enhance overall quality of life.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
  • Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
  • Assess patients for depression, anxiety, dementia, mood disorders, psychosis, and other behavioral health conditions
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams
  • Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing when clinically indicated
  • Maintain timely and accurate electronic documentation
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and continuity of care

Required Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active Florida APRN License
  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • Current DEA Registration
  • Current Professional Liability Insurance
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation
