The Opportunity

At Hitachi Energy, we're shaping the future of the power industry by building smarter, more resilient, and sustainable grids. As a Cyber Foundation & Posture Lead, you'll be at the forefront of protecting the digital backbone of the world's energy infrastructure. This is your chance to join a global leader in grid automation, where innovation, collaboration, and impact are more than just buzzwords-they're how we power progress.

In this pivotal role, you'll design and implement the cybersecurity frameworks that keep our grid automation solutions secure, reliable, and ahead of evolving threats. You'll work with passionate experts across IT, engineering, and business functions, translating complex security needs into actionable strategies that drive both operational excellence and risk mitigation. Your work will directly influence the safety and reliability of power delivery for millions, ensuring that our customers-and the communities they serve-can trust in the energy systems of tomorrow.

We're looking for a creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You'll have the autonomy to lead initiatives, the support of a world-class team, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the global energy transition. If you're ready to elevate your career and help set new standards for cybersecurity in the power sector, Hitachi Energy is where your impact will be felt-today and for generations to come.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement core cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Define secure architectures and controls for IT systems, networks, and applications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to prioritize remediation.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align security with operational goals.
  • Streamline security processes such as IAM, encryption, and network security.
  • Enforce governance and compliance with global standards and regulations.
  • Integrate advanced security technologies for seamless protection.
  • Monitor the evolving threat landscape and adapt strategies proactively.
  • Lead change management initiatives and foster a security-first culture.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's preferred; equivalent experience considered).
  • 4+ years of cybersecurity-related experience, focusing on security foundations or posture enhancement.
  • 5+ years of program management experience, preferably in cybersecurity frameworks or risk management.
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and secure architecture design.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessments, vulnerability management, and threat analysis.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with global IT and security teams.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
