Role Description

Wiser is looking for qualified candidates with an understanding of geographic information systems (GIS). Wiser will provide training on the software, GIS, and source materials needed to complete the work. Technicians work as a team to collect, maintain, analyze, and interpret geographic information as needed for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Production efforts to include feature data, terrain, or cartographic work efforts
  • Tasks include extraction, adjustment, or representation to meet specification or requirements of our customers
  • Responsible to complete accurate and timely work efforts using all forms of imagery (ex-satellite, aerial, etc.), raster datasets, vector datasets, and tabular datasets
  • Follows project specific guidance and communicates when problems arise
  • Punctual to all work schedules and performs job assignment in a timely and efficient manner
  • Follows company policies and protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Solid understanding of ArcGIS or GIS software (ArcMap/ArcPro)
  • Workspace which is suitable for remote work performance and concentration
  • Must supply own equipment: laptop/PC, 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, high speed internet
  • Ability to self-lead using customer guidance
  • Ability to meet production deadlines with minimal errors
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse team of people

Work Environment

  • Work is performed remotely, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day). Providing your own hardware is required.
