Job description

Title: GIS Project Manager Data & Analytics (Geospatial)
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
C2C/1099

*Responsibilities:*
Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise GIS, GeoAI, geospatial analytics, and infrastructure modernization initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, risks, dependencies, and governance processes across multiple workstreams.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including GIS analysts, data engineers, cloud engineers, AI/ML teams, architects, application teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Drive Agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, status tracking, and stakeholder communication.
Partner with business and operational teams to define project objectives, success criteria, requirements, and implementation roadmaps for geospatial solutions.
Support initiatives involving Enterprise GIS platforms, cloud-based geospatial services, GeoAI capabilities, spatial analytics, and real-time data integration programs.
Manage dependencies and integrations between GIS platforms, enterprise applications, data warehouses, cloud environments, APIs, and operational systems.
Facilitate project governance activities including steering committee meetings, executive reporting, RAID management, milestone tracking, and issue resolution.
Coordinate deployment planning, testing activities, user adoption, training, and operational readiness for geospatial technology implementations.
Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, data governance policies, cybersecurity requirements, and operational procedures.
Track project KPIs, delivery metrics, financial performance, and business outcomes while providing executive-ready dashboards and status reports.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, data-driven decision making, geospatial innovation, operational efficiency, and infrastructure intelligence.

*Required Skills:*
* 5-10+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Program Management, or Data & Analytics delivery leadership roles.
* Proven experience managing enterprise GIS, geospatial, data platform, analytics, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives.
* Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid project delivery methodologies with experience managing cross-functional technology teams.
* Experience working with GIS platforms (Esri ArcGIS preferred), cloud technologies, data integration platforms, analytics solutions, or AI/ML initiatives.
* Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, vendor management, budgeting, governance, risk management, and strategic planning skills.
* PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or related project management certifications preferred.
