Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG EAM Functional Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise master data governance solutions for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and SAP functional/technical teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and governed asset master data across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead business requirement gathering and conduct workshops with key stakeholders to understand EAM master data requirements.
• Design and configure SAP MDG data models, entities, attributes, relationships, and governance processes.
• Configure Change Request workflows and approval processes using MDG workflow and BRF+.
• Define and implement validation and derivation rules to ensure master data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards, policies, and quality controls for EAM master data.
• Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs), functional specifications, process flows, and related project documentation.
• Configure and support Data Replication Framework (DRF) for master data distribution across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Support master data harmonization and integration across SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and downstream systems.
• Collaborate with technical and integration teams to analyze and resolve data replication and interface issues.
• Support data cleansing, migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Plan and execute functional testing, including unit testing, SIT, regression testing, and UAT support.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues related to MDG workflows, validations, data activation, and replication.
• Drive continuous improvement of EAM master data governance processes and recommend best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5–10+ years of SAP experience, with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA EAM/PM and SAP ECC PM.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MDG implementation, configuration, and support.
• Strong knowledge of MDG data modeling, Change Requests, workflow, and BRF+.
• Experience with DRF and master data replication.
• Strong understanding of EAM/Plant Maintenance master data and business processes.
• Experience working with complex multi-system SAP landscapes and master data harmonization.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective functional solutions.
• Experience preparing FDDs, functional specifications, process documentation, and test cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to independently lead workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in end-to-end SAP MDG EAM implementation or rollout projects.
• SAP S/4HANA transformation or global template implementation experience.
• Experience with master data migration, cleansing, and governance initiatives.
• Exposure to integration technologies and enterprise-wide master data distribution.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and large-scale SAP environments.
