Customer Care Representative
Midwest Region | Remote
(Onboarding/Training will be provided in our Warsaw, Indiana facility, candidate must be willing to travel)
About the Role
Safe-Way Garage Door is seeking an experienced Customer Care Representative to support our Midwest customers. This role is ideal for candidates with garage door industry experience who understand order flow, product configurations, and dealer or distributor relationships-and who have successfully worked in a remote or hybrid customer service environment.
Depending on your experience and skill level, this position may be hired at Level I, II, or III, with responsibilities and complexity aligned accordingly.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between customers, distribution centers, sales managers, and internal teams
  • Answer incoming calls and emails in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner
  • Process garage door orders and quotes with a strong focus on accuracy and turnaround time
  • Prepare orders for invoicing and complete invoicing as required
  • Calculate CODs and freight charges when applicable
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Midwest customers and distribution centers
  • Support issue resolution related to pricing, quality, order changes, or delivery timing
  • Communicate customer feedback, complaints, and order updates to the appropriate departments
  • Maintain activity goals and productivity standards
  • Provide peer support to other Customer Care team members as needed
Leveling Overview (Based on Experience)
  • Level I: Order invoicing, door section orders/quotes, customer support assistance
  • Level II: Full call and email handling, basic complete door orders, freight/COD calculations
  • Level III: Complex order quotes, technical product support, complaint resolution, and cross-functional coordination
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Garage door industry experience (manufacturing, distribution, dealer support, or sales support)
  • Experience processing garage door orders, quotes, or technical configurations
  • Familiarity with inventory, manufacturing, or order processing systems
  • Prior experience working in a remote or hybrid customer service role
