Role Overview
ANAB is seeking an experienced and highly competent Manager of Accreditation to lead and support accreditation activities in the validation and verification program. This role requires deep expertise in accreditation systems, conformity assessment, and sustainability-related validation and verification programs.
The Manager of Accreditation will oversee accreditation processes for validation and verification bodies, including assuring completion of required assessments. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, impartiality, and technical rigor of ANAB's accreditation activities while supporting clients and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
This position is well-suited for a specialist with strong technical expertise, sound professional judgment, and a commitment to advancing credible environmental and sustainability programs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accreditation activities for environmental and sustainability programs, including regulatory and voluntary schemes
Conduct assessments of conformity assessment bodies against relevant international standards and accreditation criteria
Ensure accreditation processes are conducted with integrity, impartiality, and technical rigor
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing technical guidance and support throughout the accreditation process
Plan, coordinate, and execute accreditation activities in accordance with established timelines and procedures
Maintain accurate, thorough, and compliant documentation of accreditation activities and outcomes
Monitor and interpret applicable regulations, standards, and industry developments to ensure continued compliance and program relevance
Support continuous improvement of accreditation processes and internal quality systems
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external assessors, clients, and industry stakeholders

Ideal candidates will possess:
Willingness to travel and conduct assessments sometimes in remote areas
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or related field)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in conformity assessment, accreditation, validation and verification, certification, or quality assurance in relevant sectors such as agriculture, forestry, water, waste, energy, greenhouse gas, ESG, life cycle assessment, or environmental management
Demonstrated technical expertise in sustainability-related validation/verification programs, certification schemes, or accreditation systems
Strong working knowledge of sustainability frameworks, reporting standards, and industry trends
Experience managing projects and supporting clients in technical or accreditation environments
Familiarity with accreditation standards and the accredited conformity assessment landscape
Ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), including excellent keyboarding proficiency and the ability to produce accurate, professional documentation efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits
The starting compensation range for this position is $76,800 to $119,000,
