Summary
As an eDiscovery Forensic Collections Analyst at Array, you will play a critical, hands-on role in the initial phase of the eDiscovery lifecycle. You are the technical expert responsible for the defensible identification, preservation, and collection of electronically stored information (ESI) in response to legal matters. This role requires a meticulous, detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of forensic principles, legal hold protocols, and the technology used to gather data from a wide variety of sources This position requires a dedicated individual ready to offer detailed defensible work product, ensuring our internal and external clients receive immediate and expert assistance in a forensically sound manner.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize a wide array of forensic tools, including Cellebrite, FTK, and other industry-leading platforms and open-source solutions, to extract, analyze, and interpret digital artifacts.
• Meticulously identify, preserve, and collect digital evidence in a forensically sound manner, maintaining an unbroken chain of custody, in accordance with legal standards and best practices.
• Prepares reports, memos, forms, data entry, etc. This includes the documentation of own observations and actions with proper written and verbal communication.
• Maintain and update forensic tools and software to ensure compatibility with evolving technologies.
• Recommend and implement new tools or techniques to enhance forensic capabilities.
• Prepare detailed forensic investigation reports, including findings, methodologies, and recommendations for remediation.
• Provide testimony as an expert witness during legal proceedings, if required.
• Ensure chain-of-custody documentation is accurate and complete.
Qualifications
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Forensic Science, or a related technical field is required.
• Experience: You should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, or a related field. This includes proven experience with:
• Using industry-standard forensic collection tools.
• Collecting data from enterprise environments, including cloud platforms (specifically O365 with Purview), servers, and personal devices like hard drives and mobile phones.
• Coding or building web scraping, crawlers, or media veracity tools is a plus.
• Experience providing expert testimony is a significant plus.
• Technical Skills: You must possess a solid technical background with a deep understanding of computers, hardware, and software. This includes:
• A sound understanding of basic forensic concepts, file systems, and evidence handling.
• Familiarity with digital forensics software such as Cellebrite, X-Ways, and Magnet Forensics.
• Basic knowledge of scripting, computer repair, and web-browser analysis and reporting.
• Personal and Professional Attributes:
• Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially when handling multiple priorities and competing deadlines and aggressive timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• An unwavering commitment to ethical conduct and discretion when handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
• Industry-recognized digital forensic certifications such as ACE, GCFE, GCFA, GNFA, CISSP, CySA+, C3E, CCE, CCFP, CCME, CDFE, CFCE, GCTI, or MCFE are highly preferred.
• Logistics:
• You must be willing to travel as needed for on-site investigations.
• Availability to respond to incidents outside of standard business hours is required.
The base compensation range for this role is $70,000-$80,000 and will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
