Job description

It's fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they are doing!
We are seeking an experienced Animal Safety QA Manager to lead quality assurance and animal safety programs that support product safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. In this manager-level role, you will oversee quality systems, guide investigations and corrective actions, support audits, and partner across Operations, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to strengthen quality performance and promote a strong culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage animal safety and quality assurance programs in alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Lead investigations, root cause analyses, corrective and preventive actions, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance product safety and operational performance.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including preparation, documentation, responses, and follow-up actions.
  • Review, maintain, and improve quality documentation, records, procedures, and related quality system elements.
  • Train, mentor, and support employees on quality assurance processes, animal safety procedures, and compliance expectations.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, Quality, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance, animal safety, or another regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, regulatory compliance, investigations, corrective actions, and documentation practices.
  • Experience in animal health, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, food safety, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations such as GMP, ISO, HACCP, FDA, EPA, or USDA requirements.
  • Strong communication, leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills; Lean Six Sigma or ASQ certification is preferred.

What We Offer
  • A standard benefits package designed to support employee well-being.
  • The opportunity to lead meaningful quality and animal safety initiatives in a regulated environment.
  • A collaborative role working with cross-functional teams across Operations, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Quality.
  • Professional growth through leadership, mentoring, audit support, continuous improvement, and quality culture development.

If you are a quality-focused professional with a strong background in animal safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you. Join our team and help advance high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
