Job description

Content Strategistย

DEPLOY's Client isย looking for a mid-to-senior level Content Strategist to join the team.

This is not a content production role. We need a strategic thinker who can developย content frameworks, shape messaging architecture, and guide how ideas come to lifeย across channels and audiences.

You will have a clear home base on an account - a complex, multi-brand engagementย where content strategy is central to the work - while also serving as a strategic resourceย across other accounts as needed, including support for agency leadership.

If you are a strategist who loves digging into a business problem, building theย framework that makes content purposeful, and collaborating with creative and accountย teams to bring it to life, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Key Account Work

Lead content strategy for a major multi-brand foundation engagement - definingย how the client tells its story across a fragmented portfolio of brands.

Develop a content strategy and website content framework covering core pages,ย aligned to user journeys and key audience segments.

Write and shape page-level messaging guidance and core website content inย collaboration with brand strategy and UX partners.

Collaborate closely with DEPLOY's Client's account, strategy, and creative teams andย our digital platform partner throughout Foundation planning and execution.

Cross-Account Strategy Support

Serve as a content strategy resource across other accounts asย capacity allows.

Support agency leadership - including the SVP of Account Leadership and Chiefย Strategy Officer - on thought leadership, positioning, and strategic contentย initiatives.

Bring a point of view to how behavioral science and Creative Psychologyย principles can inform content strategy across verticals.

Help establish content strategy best practices and frameworks that can beย applied across the agency's client portfolio.

What We're Looking For

6-10 years of experience in content strategy, preferably with agency or consultingย experience.

Demonstrated ability to build content frameworks, messaging architecture, andย content systems - not just write content.

Strong understanding of how content connects to brand strategy, user journeys,ย and business objectives.

Working knowledge of SEO best practices and how to build content that performsย in both traditional search and AI-driven discovery (GEO - generative engineย optimization).

Experience working on complex, multi-stakeholder engagements with multipleย audiences and channels.

Comfort operating across B2B and B2C contexts.

Excellent written communication and the ability to translate strategic thinking intoย clear, compelling content direction.

Collaborative working style - you know how to partner with creative, account, andย strategy teams without losing your point of view.

Able to work independently in a remote environment with minimal oversight.

Bonus: Familiarity with behavioral science, consumer psychology, or research-ย informed messaging strategy.

Bonus: Experience in food service, commercial refrigeration, B2B distribution, orย adjacent verticals.

Engagement Details

Remote - work from anywhere, though Southeast is preferred.

Open to freelance or full-time employee, depending on fit and preference.

Ongoing cross-account strategy support beyond the initial engagement.

What Success Looks Like

Key account has a clear, strategically grounded content framework that holds upย across brands, audiences, and channels.

Website content is sharp, on-strategy, and ready to build onย Account and creative teams feel supported - not just handed a document, butย guided through it.

Your strategic perspective is being pulled into other accounts and agencyย conversations.

DEPLOY's Client's content strategy capability is stronger because you are part of it.
