How you'll make an impact:
As a Sales Executive, you'll play a critical role in growing Mill Rock Packaging by hunting for new business, building long-term relationships, and serving as a trusted, consultative partner to our customers.
This is a true hunter role-ideal for someone who thrives on opening doors, closing complex deals, and building a book of business from the ground up.
Territories / Regions
We are open to hiring the right person in aligned to one of our U.S. manufacturing regions:
  • West: Renton, WA
  • Mountain: Salt Lake City, UT or Aurora, CO
  • Midwest: St. Paul, MN or Hutchinson, MN
  • East: South Windsor, CT

You do not need to live in the exact city you support, but you should be based within the region to maintain a strong local network and customer presence.
This role is remote with frequent regional travel.
What you'll do:
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the folding carton paperboard space
  • Build a book of business through networking, industry relationships, and consultative selling
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with prospects and customers
  • Lead sales meetings (virtual and in-person) from discovery through close
  • Present, propose, and negotiate solutions that align customer needs with MRP's capabilities
  • Partner closely with operations, estimating, and other internal teams to deliver on customer commitments
  • Attend and represent MRP at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Track and report pipeline activity, sales results, and forecasts
  • Continuously evaluate and refine your sales strategies to improve performance

What it takes to succeed:
Basic Qualifications (must-haves)
  • 5-10+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, with a strong emphasis on hunting and closing new business
  • Direct experience selling folding carton / paperboard packaging
  • Proven success building and managing a book of business from the ground up
  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to sell complex, value-driven solutions
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Comfortable analyzing data, metrics, and customer insights to inform decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction
  • Willingness to travel within your region and occasionally nationally
