  • You will serve as a Supervisory General engineer providing insights enabling decisions for the research and development, integration, and fielding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) models for the Undersea Enterprise.
  • You will provide technical direction to Navy warfare centers and UARCs for executing tasks and delivery of software and hardware products for integration into other programs of record.
  • You will manage a multi-million dollar Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) program in the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) phase.
  • You will establish and execute development contracts for AI/ML and cloud-based development environments research and development activities.
  • You will collaborate with the Science and Technology community (ONR, DARPA, SCO) and international partners through Data Exchange Agreements (DEAs), to align investments for transitioning new technology.
  • You will develop and execute acquisition strategies, budgets and program plans to achieve Fleet and resource sponsor objectives.
  • You will coordinate with OPNAV resource sponsors, Fleet representatives and the Intelligence Community to identify capability gaps, and system operational requirements.
  • You will supervise the program office and field activity on-site personnel, providing guidance and direction necessary to achieve mission goals.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer analyzing financial, contractual, or programmatic activities to develop reports for stakeholders on program requirements, performance, or operations.

Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
