Role Overview
The CFO is responsible for overseeing and managing critical global finance operations within the organization, playing a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy, ensuring financial health, managing risks, and leading financial planning and reporting.
Responsible for managing the company's financial activities, including financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, financial reporting, and analysis. The CFO will oversee financial operations and provide strategic guidance to senior management, ensuring long-term financial stability and success.
The CFO will also be a key partner in driving the company's growth initiatives and ensuring the organization's financial health and regulatory compliance. This position requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of financial operations, tax compliance and incentives, U.S. and LATAM tax regulations, client billing, pricing, acquisitions, and local business compliance requirements to drive sustainable growth and effectively mitigate risks.
Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, including long-term growth, profitability, and sustainability.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Provide financial leadership to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to support business priorities.

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other documents required by the Board of Directors, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the company's financial records are accurate, complete, and comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management for decision-making.

Cash Flow & Capital Management
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure that the company maintains adequate resources for day-to-day operations and long-term growth.
  • Optimize capital structure, financing strategies, and debt management to meet business goals.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, debt financing, and investment strategies.

Billing and Collections
  • Develop and optimize billing strategies, processes, and systems to ensure timely and accurate billing for customers, particularly in complex tech services or SaaS models.
  • Lead the collections process, ensuring customer payments are received on time and in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Monitor cash flow and identify any potential billing or collections challenges, addressing them proactively.

US Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all US statutory financial requirements related to technology business operations.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax filings, audits, and regulatory reports for the technology division.
  • Liaise with legal and compliance teams to ensure that financial processes adhere to relevant laws and regulations.

Risk Management
  • Identify financial risks and work with other departments to develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls.
  • Oversee insurance coverage and other risk-related activities to protect company assets.

Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of finance professionals.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., operations, HR, marketing) to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure financial goals are met.

Relevant Experience Required
  • Extensive experience Finance, with at least 10 years in executive leadership roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • Experience in fundraising, research of private equities, and investor relations
  • Knowledge with equity
  • Experience with corporate structure, working with global/multiple geographies and setting up multiple entities across global locations
  • Experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of Global and US financial regulations, GAAP, and financial software.
  • Experienced in entity set up and understands tax and legal implications, among others.
  • Experienced in dealing with various regulatory bodies, lawyers and auditors.
  • Experienced in various invoicing and payroll situations (use of different invoicing applications, payments via bank, online apps, etc, understands crypto currency)
  • Experienced in shared service arrangements, foreign offices, multiple entities, including all accounting, tax and other regulatory implications of such
  • Experienced in cash flow management, including forecasting and investing
  • Experienced in client billing, pricing, and acquisitions
  • Skilled in finance software selection and implementation, understanding both the technical and project management sides
  • Ability to understand other functional areas (HRIS, Database Mgt, Reporting, etc)
