What is a Remote Film Production job?

A Remote Film Production job involves working on various aspects of film and video production from a remote location, rather than being physically on set. Roles can include video editing, scriptwriting, project management, animation, sound design, and more. Collaboration is done through digital tools like cloud storage, video conferencing, and project management software. These jobs are ideal for professionals who can work independently and communicate effectively with a remote team.

What are some common challenges faced in remote film production roles, and how are they typically addressed?

Remote film production roles often face challenges such as coordinating across time zones, ensuring clear communication among distributed team members, and managing large digital files securely. To address these, teams frequently rely on robust project management tools, scheduled virtual meetings, and cloud-based storage solutions for sharing assets. Establishing clear workflows and regular check-ins helps maintain alignment and momentum despite not sharing a physical workspace. As a remote film production professional, being proactive, organized, and tech-savvy can help you navigate these challenges and contribute effectively to the project's success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Film Production position, and why are they important?

To thrive in Remote Film Production, you need comprehensive knowledge of all stages of film production, including pre-production planning, filming coordination, and post-production processes, often supported by a degree in film, media, or a related field. Proficiency with video conferencing tools, cloud-based collaboration platforms, and editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is crucial, as is familiarity with virtual project management systems. Strong communication, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills enable effective teamwork and adaptation to remote workflows. These competencies are essential to ensure creative projects are delivered efficiently and collaboratively despite geographical distances.

Job description

IMERZA is a creative technology forward organization, specializing in the development of interactive digital experiences which help real estate developers communicate project vision and control sales velocity.
Born out of a renowned architecture firm in Sarasota, Florida, IMERZA leverages Unreal Engine to offer real-time 3D marketing applications for pre-construction real estate projects.
With hundreds of projects globally, IMERZA is uniquely positioned as the market leader in digital twin technology for real estate development.
We are seeking a high-caliber Project Manager to bridge the gap between our clients and our creative/development teams. You will coordinate the execution of sophisticated 3D visualization and real estate marketing software projects, ensuring every deliverable is OTOBOS (On Time, On Budget, On Style). The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for design and storytelling, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of the data structures and 3D pipelines used in modern PropTech.
What You'll Be Doing
  • End-to-End Project Ownership: Manage and track simultaneous client projects and day-to-day activities from kick-off through final delivery and archival with a high sense of urgency and minimal supervision.
  • Strategic Liaison: Act as the primary link between the client and the studio; maintain proactive contact to ensure communication flows effectively and expectations align with project scope.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, UX/UI, and 3D Visualization teams to shape intuitive, high-quality product experiences.
  • Planning & Execution: Translate requests into actionable project plans. Create and maintain schedules, track deliverables, and monitor/report on progress to address bottlenecks quickly.
  • Scope & Change Management: Proactively identify "out-of-scope" requests and translate them into formal Change Orders. Perform impact assessments on 3D render times and engineering capacity to ensure project profitability.
  • Asset & Data Management: Categorize and keep track of client-provided assets, data sources, and formats used for developing 3D models and software.
  • Client Leadership: Lead and participate in client reviews; identify potential issues, stay abreast of scope changes, and influence customers toward project goals.

What You'll Bring
Experience: 5+ years of project management experience within a digital production, creative agency, or architecture-adjacent environment (3-5 years minimum).
  • Technical Proficiency: * Jira Mastery: Managing boards, epics, stories, and tasks; tracking sprint progress and generating reports.
    • Agile Frameworks: Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models, including standups and backlog grooming.
    • Software Stack: Hands-on experience with Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, Review Studio, Box, MS Office, and G Suite; familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Domain Knowledge: A solid understanding of the 3D creation process, film production, or interactive media.
  • Professionalism: Proactive, positive, and professional with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to anticipate issues before they escalate.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate complex project statuses into clear, actionable updates for all stakeholders.
Requirements & Logistics
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Location: Based in Sarasota, FL. Onsite or relocation is preferred; exceptional remote candidates within the U.S. will be considered.
  • Industry Background: Architecture or Real Estate industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Interests: A genuine interest in 3D visualization, architecture, or PropTech.
