  • Reports To: Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment
  • Travel: Up to 20% within the U.S. and Canada, including overnight stays
  • Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

About the Role

SSP America is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our Legal team as a key partner to the Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment. You will own complex litigation files, drive labor relations documentation, manage agency matters, and keep a fast-moving legal operation running at a high standard.

You will work across U.S. and Canadian operations, partnering daily with Legal, HR, and People leaders. Big Law firm background is a strong plus.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide paralegal support for employment litigation, arbitrations, and administrative agency proceedings.
  • Manage document collection, organization, review, and production; handle subpoena responses and discovery tracking.
  • Respond to agency charges, audits, and information requests from the EEOC, DOL, NLRB, and state agencies.
  • Support union labor matters including grievances, arbitrations, collective bargaining support, and NLRB filings.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on document requests, deadlines, and discovery support.
  • Prepare, draft, and organize employment-related documents and filings under attorney supervision.
  • Use Excel and SharePoint to maintain trackers, logs, dashboards, and document repositories.
  • Support the development and maintenance of employment policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Track legal deadlines, calendars, and matter status reports to ensure timely execution.
What You Bring:
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in labor and employment law, including litigation support.
  • Demonstrated experience in a unionized environment: grievances, arbitrations, and labor relations matters.
  • Big Law firm experience supporting labor and employment practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting in-house legal teams in complex, multi-unit or enterprise-level organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment and discretion handling sensitive, confidential information in a remote setting.
